We believe that all students should have a place to call home at school. Student Council could be that place for you. We would love for you to come to a meeting, check out StuCo, and see what we can offer you. If you decide Student Council is not for you, we would love to recommend other clubs and organizations you might consider based on your interests and goals.

4 steps to join RHS Student Council

Here is what some of our Past Presidents say about Student Council:

Max Watson
'25-'26 President

My favorite memory from Student Council was getting to meet so many new people and build friendships with students I would never have known otherwise. Student Council gave me the opportunity to get involved, put myself out there, and become a bigger part of the school community. The connections and experiences I gained through it are something I’ll always remember.

Join something. Being a part of something is much better than being a part of nothing.

Landree Locke
'24-'25 President

StuCo is a really great opportunity for anyone trying to get involved in their school. For me, I loved planning events and meeting some of my best friends.

My best memories were all of the StuCo trips where I was able to meet so many people from all over Texas. I loved being able to learn from other councils, and be able to implement those ideas into my own school. I think StuCo is a great community for all students.

Presley Dominguez
'23-'24 President

“My favorite student council activity was all the conferences we went to. I loved being able to about to learn about other council and make friends with people from all over Texas. My favorite memory this year, was being nominated and named homecoming queen. It was such a sweet moment that I’ll never forget. I will miss all the people the most. I’ve made my best friends in Rockwall StuCo and it will be hard without them.

I would tell students to be as involved as possible! Go to all the games and always have jacket spirit.”

Kaitlyn Freel
'22-'23 President

Being a part of StuCo during my high school years was an invaluable experience that prepared me for college and life beyond. StuCo has given me confidence and security in who I am as a leader. Through my involvement, I gained skills such as leadership, teamwork, time management, and effective communication. These are the qualities that will take you far and set you up for success. My time in StuCo not only made my high school experience amazing but also equipped me with the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in college and navigate life.
